At Prince of Wales Surgery, we provide NHS-funded travel vaccinations and advice for patients travelling abroad.
It’s important to book your travel health appointment as early as possible, ideally at least six weeks before your trip, to allow enough time for any necessary follow-up doses.
Some vaccinations require more than one dose, so early planning helps ensure you are fully protected before you travel.
We can provide vaccinations that are funded under the NHS.
Please ask at the surgery for details about which vaccines are available for your travel needs.
For vaccines not covered by the NHS or for detailed advice about travel destinations, we recommend attending a specialist travel clinic.
Travel clinics can provide guidance on:
Recommended vaccines for your destination
Malaria prevention and other travel-related health risks
Advice for children, pregnant travellers, or those with chronic health conditions
For up-to-date information on travel vaccinations and health advice for your destination, please visit the NHS Fit for Travel website: https://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
Travelling abroad can expose you to infections not common in the UK. Getting the right vaccinations and advice ensures your journey is safe and healthy.
