If you have difficulty getting to the Surgery to collect your repeat prescription, we have collection points in some of the villages.  With the kind help of some local businesses, and staff and patients who help to deliver the prescriptions, we can arrange for your medication to be delivered to one of five collection points.

Burton Bradstock: the Post Office: delivered every Thursday morning, collect any day during opening hours.

Puncknowle: The Crown Inn: delivered Fridays, collect any time during pub opening hours.

Litton Cheney: The White Horse Inn: delivered Thursday evenings, collect during pub opening hours.

Abbotsbury: Chapel Lane Stores - delivered Tuesday mornings, collect during shop opening hours

Martinstown: Village Shop  - delivered Thursday evening, collect during shop opening hours.

Note that the prescriptions are delivered to the collection point by staff or volunteers once a week, and each new delivery is available for collection from the day listed.  Your medications will be kept until you collect them but please help out by collecting them promptly as there is limited storage space in these venues.   You can order by email or using SystmOnline a week before you need them (eg if we deliver on a Friday, please order the previous Friday).

Winterbourne Abbas: at the moment we have no collection point here.  Any volunteers of help for here or any of the smaller villages and hamlets would be welcome.

If you pay for your prescription you will need to send a cheque with your order as these businesses only act as collection points and cannot handle script money or queries.

For obvious reasons we cannot send controlled drugs or fridge items out for remote collection so these will still need to be collected from the Dispensary in Portesham.  If you have any questions about this service, or cannot use it, please do give us a call.
