Non NHS Services

Private Work Fees

The NHS provides most care to patients free of charge.  However some services that we can provide are not covered by the NHS and we will make a charge for these services.  They include medical reports required for reasons other than safeguarding your health (for example, for private medical insurance claims); medical examinations for your occupation or sport such as HGV and divers medicals; and some travel vaccines for conditions which are not prevalent in the UK and therefore not part of our national vaccination programme.

If you need our GPs to prepare a report, sign a document (such as a passport) or fill in a form, please check our Patient Charges List beforehand.  Post your document or drop it in to the Surgery with plenty of notice.  We will ring you when it is ready to collect. If you need a medical examination please ring reception to arrange a mutually convenient time for the appointment.  Please come prepared to pay at the time of your appointment or collection.

Note that charges may vary a little depending on the amount of work required to complete the documentation.  The charge for travel vaccinations will depend on the cost of the vaccine at the time we order it.  However our guidance will give you a good idea of what to expect, and we will prepare an invoice ready for you to pay when you come for your appointment or to collect your paperwork.
