Feedback, Comments and Complaints

We are constantly looking to improve our care and services, especially after all the COVID difficulties we have all experienced.  Please feel free to give us your feedback at any time by:

  • completing the Friends and Family question at the reception desk (it takes seconds to select an emoji to describe your experience at the surgery today, and there is a space to leave a reason for your opinion)
  • completing the Friends and Family question on the home page of the website
  • talking to any member of staff during your visit
  • emailing reception@porteshamsurgery.nhs.uk

You can also talk to any member of our Patient Participation Group (PPG).  Most villages have a patient representative and their contact details should be on your village website or noticeboard.  Or you can email them at enquiries@porteshampatients.org.uk

If you need to talk to us about a possible complaint, please contact our reception team in the first instance on 01305 871468 or chat to one of our staff when you are in the surgery.  They can take details, or you can fill out a short form at reception about the nature of your concern.  We will always try to resolve things directly with you in the first instance so our Practice Manager will contact you and talk through your concerns on the phone or arranging a meeting if you prefer.  If we need to make further investigations we can arrange this and agree a timescale with you.

Click here to download our Complaints Leaflet which explains what you can do if you are not happy with our initial response and gives you contact details of other organisations who can help you take things further.

Please always remember that we want to do our best for all our patients, and most things can be resolved promptly just by talking to us.
